"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations."
Matthew 28:19
At the heart of our mission is Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:19: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” We believe this call is not just for a select few, but for the whole church. Missions is about living out the Great Commission—sharing the hope of the gospel both here in our local community and around the world. At Peninsula Life, we are committed to investing in people, sending and supporting missionaries, partnering with ministries, and equipping our church family to live on mission wherever God places us. Whether it’s across the street or across the ocean, we want to be a church that brings the light of Christ to those who have not yet heard or experienced His love. Our desire is to see lives transformed, communities restored, and the name of Jesus lifted high in every nation and neighborhood.

PENINSULA LIFE MISSIONARIES
JESSE GERTH
Jesse Gerth is a full-time missionary with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Kona, Hawaii, serving with Fire & Fragrance. After completing his Discipleship Training School in 2023, Jesse discovered a deep passion for the Great Commission and has since led outreach trips to the nations, including Turkey, where he witnessed lives transformed by the Gospel. He now trains and equips young believers to live out their faith and carry Jesus’ love to the unreached.
PASTOR MICHAEL SMITH

Hello! I’m Michael Smith. I’m from Washington State in the USA. At the beginning of 2023 I gave my life to full-time missions.
I’ve been working in Tanzania, Malawi, and Mozambique; and I’ve visited Brazil and South Africa this year too. I am a missionary sent by Peninsula Life Church in Gig Harbor, and I partner with the Pentecostal Evangelical Fellowship of Africa.
God has called me to raise up national missionaries to make disciples amongst unreached people groups (UPGs) in East Africa and across the 10/40 Window.
I am currently learning Swahili and Portuguese, and I also want to be fluent in Spanish so that I can host missionary teams from the West! I want to be a catalyst to the gospel work already happening in Africa and to mobilize missionaries from East Africa to the 10/40 window.
Thank you for considering partnering with me and for seeking to make Jesus known in every tribe, language, and nation! God bless you!

GLOBAL OUTREACH

OneChild is a global nonprofit organization that brings hope, truth, life, and love to children living in hard places.
Through child sponsorship, they work to break the cycle of poverty by providing children with food, education, medical care, and spiritual encouragement.
OneChild partners with local churches and leaders around the world to create safe, supportive communities where children can grow in faith and discover their God-given potential.
-ONE CHILD SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES-
Every child deserves hope, love, and the opportunity to thrive. Through our partnership with OneChild (or your church’s partner organization), we are committed to making a difference in the lives of children living in poverty around the world.
When you sponsor a child, you provide more than just financial support—you offer hope and a future. Sponsorship helps meet a child’s basic needs such as:
Nutritious food and clean water
Access to education and school supplies
Medical care and wellness support
A safe, nurturing environment
The opportunity to hear about the love of Jesus
As a sponsor, you’ll receive regular updates, letters, and photos from your sponsored child, so you can see the impact your support is making firsthand. More than that, you’ll build a meaningful relationship through prayer and encouragement.
Together, we can change the story of a child’s life—one sponsorship at a time.

OUR PARTNER CHURCH IN NICARAGUA

The La Cosecha Hope Center, located in an area near the capital city of Managua, struggles with substance abuse, poor sanitation, and high unemployment. Despite these challenges, area families feel blessed to have a global community of Child Champions who dedicate themselves to seeing the next generation grow and thrive. By listening to the specific needs of local children, these loving adults are equipped to provide them with individualized care, a chance to succeed, and hope for a better future.
Nicaragua has the smallest population in Central America yet occupies the largest land area. Roughly the size of the state of New York, Nicaragua has tropical lowlands and central mountains and is bordered by Honduras, the Caribbean Sea, Costa Rica, and the Pacific Ocean. Like Honduras, a large number of Nicaraguans are Mestizo (mixed Native American and European ancestry). Spanish is the official language, and less than 1% of the population speaks another language. Coffee is the main export followed by beef, gold, sugar, and peanuts. Nicaragua is the second poorest country in the Western Hemisphere after Haiti, and faces severe unemployment which forces many to leave the country each year in search of work.
